Sexual HarassmentUnder Federal Law, you are protected against harassment and discrimination on the job or when applying for a job. If you feel you have been discriminated against or harassed or someone else has accused you of harassment or discrimination, you may need legal representation. Contact D'Angelo & Hashem to make sure your rights are protected. Being harassed or discriminated against can be unsettling, frustrating and downright scary. At D'Angelo & Hashem, we understand what you are going through and will work to put an end to the situation so that you can get back to work in a healthy, happy environment. We may also be able to negotiate a cash settlement for you, if the actions were intentional. FAQsWhat rights do I have as an employee or as someone applying for a job?
What should I do if I think someone has harassed or discriminated against me? First, contact an attorney. D'Angelo & Hashem can determine if you have a legitimate case against the other individual or company. If you do, we can help you file a charge of discrimination with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), ensure that you file it within the allotted time frame, and help you recover the damages you deserve. What if I see a co-worker harassing another co-worker? Should I report that? You can file a charge on behalf of someone else, if they want you to. In doing so, you are also protected - it is illegal to retaliate against an individual for filing a charge or discrimination, taking part in an investigation or opposing discrimination or harassment practices.
